Supporting Women With Dignity, Care & Compassion
Women and families experiencing homelessness, domestic crisis, financial hardship or major life transitions may find themselves needing practical support at a difficult moment in their lives.
Through IECN Gives Back™, we seek opportunities to support women and families accessing shelters, transitional housing and community support services.
Our approach is grounded in dignity, respect and compassion.
How We May Give
Depending on the needs identified by recipient organizations, initiatives may include:
- Personal-care products
- Feminine hygiene products
- New clothing
- Pajamas and undergarments
- Winter clothing
- Toiletries
- Baby and children’s essentials
- Diapers
- Household starter items
- Grocery gift cards
- Transit gift cards
- Care packages
Dignity Care Packages
IECN may organize care packages containing practical personal items for women experiencing difficult transitions.
Every package should communicate something beyond the items inside:
You are worthy of dignity, care and hope.
Supporting Families in Transition
Women entering emergency or transitional housing may also be caring for children.
Where appropriate, campaigns may therefore include children’s clothing, toys, school supplies, baby products and other family essentials.
Giving What Is Needed
Shelters and support organizations often have specific donation requirements.
Before organizing a campaign for an external organization, IECN will seek to understand its current needs and donation guidelines.
Help Us Provide Care
Individuals, businesses and community groups can contribute products, organize workplace collections, sponsor care packages or volunteer with appropriate IECN Gives Back™ activities.

Connecting People to Opportunities
Sometimes people simply don’t know where to find the support or opportunities they need.
Through our outreach activities, IECN helps connect community members with information about:

Where appropriate, IECN may also connect individuals with organizations that provide specialized services beyond our own programs.

Workshops may be delivered independently by IECN or in collaboration with qualified community organizations, professionals and facilitators.

Is your organization planning a community event, resource fair, youth event, workshop or information session?
IECN welcomes opportunities to participate in appropriate community events that align with our mission and areas of work.
Depending on the event and availability, IECN may participate through an information table, presentation, workshop, panel discussion, resource sharing or other community engagement activity.
Host an Outreach Activity With IECN
Organizations can also collaborate with IECN to organize community-based activities.
